About Me

I earned my PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee, and I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida (#PY10557). Upon finishing my doctorate, I spent two great years as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Sport Psychology for Ole Miss athletics. I received my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Florida, so I am thrilled to be practicing in a city and community which I truly love.

Suffering in this life is often unavoidable. I entered this field because I want to help people make sense of their suffering and to be someone who walks with others through pain, darkness, and brokenness. I believe we can get through the valleys of life with the help of others, and I hope to be there with you when the darkness gives way to light. I thoroughly enjoy celebrating with clients as the darkness lifts, as we look back on how far they have come.

In terms of my personal life, I love being out on the golf course or on a good wave with my longboard. As often as I can, I try to find live music or a concert, as music is an incredibly beautiful tool for me to relax and unwind. I am an aspiring foodie (my friends would laugh at this), but I love to eat and try new restaurants from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. I love to travel as much as I can, and it makes me happy to explore the outdoors. But when it all comes down to it, I like to do any of the aforementioned things with family and friends. I am close to my family—my parents, my three siblings, and my wonderful nieces and nephew. I also value caring for my own physical and mental health, and many of the things I say to clients, I attempt to practice myself.

I look forward to meeting with you and going on this journey together!
